Gen Takahashi

Vice President, Investment Banking

Gen has over three years of investment banking experience specializing in M&A and capital-raising advisory for the financial services sector. Prior to Cohen & Company Capital Markets, Gen was an Associate in the Financial Institutions Group at Guggenheim Securities where he covered Specialty Finance, Fintech, Insurance and Banks. Gen also has experience as an instructor at Training The Street, the leading financial training firm for investment banking, consulting and corporate clients. Prior to his finance career, Gen was a Combat Engineer Officer in the United States Marine Corps and a Special Agent covering Counterintelligence in the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Gen holds an MBA from Cornell University and an LL.B from Keio University in Tokyo, Japan.
